Description
Asian Tempest garlic is intensely hot with a spiciness that lingers. When cooked the hotness will fade into a sweet and tangy flavor similar to a sweet pepper. This garlic is a native to South Korea. In the early 1980’s Horace Shaw aquired this garlic from a farmer who was a Korean War Veteran. Shaw began cultivating the garlic and went on to became the first person to commercially produce the Asian Tempest variety in the US. Good-sized violet bulbs and nice fat cloves. Mid-early harvest.
